Foundations for Agility Class is required before taking any agility class.

Make sure that you check the class descriptions, so that you enroll in the correct class.
The minimum age for dogs taking the foundations class is recommended at 18 weeks old.

This is a class for experienced handlers who are currently competing. Your dog must be able to handle all obstacles. It will include courses and sequences that will be broken down to look at lines and choices and what works best for your team.

Jumping 101
(strongly recommended for dogs that have closed growth plates. Growth plate closure depends on the gender, size, and breed of your dog. While you can confirm that the growth plates have closed using X-rays, the average age for growth plate closure is ~15 months for a medium/large breed females and  ~18 months for medium/large breed males. Some jumping skills are better learned as a young puppy, and as such modifications to the course can be made for dogs that still are not fully grown with the consent of the instructor; However, no puppy younger than 9 months will be permitted to take this class!)

Current vaccination requirements:

All dogs attending classes at WDTC must have evidence of a Bordetella vaccine within the past 12 months and that they are current on their Rabies and Distemper/ Parvo as recommended by their veterinarian.
